Now for 2010 /2011 Touareg offers a more  nimble safer fuel efficient vehicle

For most of us the  Touareg is just above the normal price range but if you are fortunate enough to shop in this market  you will find it difficult to go past.

2010  model year offers a lighter vehicle 208 kg in fact or one mother in law compared to the previous Volkswagen Touareg.

Fuel efficiency too has not been overlooked, I gather you have notice fuel prices are slowly becoming high,  this vehicle boasts a 20 per cent improvement.

It seems obvious now the giant car maker is heading for economy as soon we will see the  petrol electric version offering at only 8.2 lt/100kms.

Aerodynamics and weight reduction  for this 2011 Australian release vehicle 

is the focus  from the manufacturer and this alone  will be the marketing key point when advertised throughout Australia.

Engines for Australia

Two engines for Australia, the V6 206 KW/ 360NM Petrol and the TDI

3.0 litre 176kw/ 550 NM. A third 4.2 V* TDI replacing the V10  is a maybe later

Fuel economy unheard of 10 years ago

Fuel economy for the 3.0 TDI is expected to be  7.4 L/100km, the V* 9.1/100 kms.

The transmission is unique and all models will have the 8 speed tranny, other features on offer with some models will be standard Sat Nav and stop start engine technology.

Four wheel drive systems will be the 4motion all wheel drive and the 4xmotion terrain tech pack for the serious off road work.

Volkswagen has again produced a serious and efficient 4x4 wagon.
