Well it was a world first for Australia and the 2007 International Motor show in
Sydney launched the Toyota Landcruiser 200 series.
2009 the Frankfurt Motor show launches the 2010
Update and the legend drives on into
Landcruiser 2012.. *New tougher Turbo GX for 2012 and beyond
It includes driver and front-passenger airbags, curtain-shield airbags,
vehicle stability control, active traction control, hill-start assist,
multi-terrain anti-skid brakes and Toyota CRAWL – effectively an
off-road cruise-control system.
The GX has a 195kW/650Nm 4.5-litre V8 twin-turbo diesel engine,
six-speed automatic transmission, full-time 4WD with Torsen limited-slip
centre differential and two-speed transfer case.
Its not a dramatic new space age look but more a
refinement of many qualities that have transcended the brand for the last 15
years
From the introducing of the 80 series to the 100
series landcruiser we still hold this king of 4x4 vehicles at the top of the
tree
Toyota have redesigned the grill and
extensively designed the tired old 100 series rear lights. Interior has a
redesign and molds itself more to the passenger car type feel.
The upper end of the Australian buyer
may now see this back to a status symbol type of vehicle and it may soon
appear at a private school near you, however saying that lets not forget the
quality Toyota vehicle it is and certainly will be just as good as land
cruiser models before.
Qualities like the hydraulic range rover
style suspension ( KDSS) Kinetic Dynamic suspension system may be seen , this will allow the vehicle to lower as soon as
the ignition is switched of to make life a little easier for passenger exit.

Toyota
Landcruiser 200 off road works well
First appearance and it seems slightly longer
than before , the rear bumper tends to protrude maybe giving that appearance ,
wider yes and body designed to appear slightly lower ideal for navigating those
inner city shopping center median strips.
CRAWL control or cruise for off road 4x4 use
maintains a constant speed in muddy and rocky terrain.
Add to it the landcruiser 200 series down hill
control, multi terrain ABS, Hill start assist, Bluetooth technology , smart
entry and smart start and you have one hell of a nice truck. (More features at
end of article)
