I originally wrote about them in 2007 but now in 2011/2012 Australia
will see a 4x4 vehicle from Toyota that the world has known since 2005..
4 Litre V6 power delivering 200 KW Five speed Auto gear box with a two
speed transfer case.
All yours for about $45,000. MMM.....Compare to what I hear you
ask...Well the Jeep wrangler. Similar engine, features in a hard top is
about $5000 LESS. Then there is the conservative Kluger , now that's
about the same price.
In 2005 the FJ cruiser offered something special, Individuality. This
small 4x4 was generously pickup in the middle east and US markets and
today is a popular form of 4x4 rally vehicle in some of the toughest
tests on SUV's in the world , the sand dunes of Dubai. But
Australia I have to question It feels like the last minute invite to
your birthday party.
It has some great features , saftey wise its up with all in its class
including switchable traction control, rear camera, forward opening rear
access doors, ABS and more.
But alas no Diesel.
Australians well they will buy a few , Suzuki sold a few X90's (two door
SUV) In the late 1990's and if they could sell I sure some one out there
will go for one of these. They are a Toyota , they do have a unusual
appeal and will do the job.
2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser is fast becoming a much
sought after SUV in the Highly competitive world of 4X4 medium vehicles.
Toyota have revamped the styling and the engine. Land rover fans may
just see a little of that in this.
2007-1009 Toyota FJ Cruiser
4.0 lt V6 Manual
Call me a old softy I just love this.
Being a FJ Toyota model lover from way
back its nice to see Toyota in the USA have got together a bit of Toyota
memorabilia .I wont mention too much here as Toyota US sites would be far more
in depth and as for the Australia reader you will be holding your breathe to see
it here.
By the way it features Air cond, power steer,
front and rear discs, power windows ABS on all 4 wheels, dual airbags,
Traction, CD player bucket seats and a
compass. and I repeat it is manual.
Interesting to notice a recent review for the
Hummer H3 comparing the FJ with it.
