The Sterling Bullet, ( Dodge Ram) Alternative to the f250 ?
I am curious , so I thought its just a nice thing to know that in the USA just launched by Sterling Trucks are two models of the bullet. If it lands in Australia when and if will be any ones guess, but Australia is sadly lacking a dealer endorsed product similar to ford F250 See F250 Sales Australia I could say here that its like Viagra oysters it will never happen in Australia but the idea is great. This vehicle is the re badged dodge Ram. For many years now we have been on a promise of a right hand drive version for the Australian market Even back to 1999 I can recall the excitement at the Chrysler Jeep dealer knowing that it was coming , well its still coming. Sterling however ( division of Daimler Chrysler) may consider a good branding measure to launch into Australia the bullet and fingers crossed price it right. Here in Australia the selling point will be on the Cummins diesel engine 6.7 ltr It will just have the right appeal .
Available in the USA and Canada in a regular and quad model . Both of these have the optional 2 wd and 4x4 models. These trucks will be invaluable for the tipper market , tray or XL body designs. And curiously now as LPG conversions are becoming cheaper for diesels. Not Good news from Sterling 2009For Australian buyer the news is not good for Sterling. Daimler have decided 2009 will be the end of the brand and will focus on Freightliner and Western star brands for future truck sales. In Australia the sterling brand has enjoyed a good 10 years of sales. May 2008 and the St Thomas plant in Canada ceased.
