Holden Colorado
This Holden now has been on the go for 27
years, yep sure feels old but lets remember it was the 1990's that
made its mark on this marquee.
Also lets not forget that currently this
vehicle is the Holden companies third biggest seller next to
Commodore and Astra..
Now its time for the make over for Holden
Rodeo in the two and four wheel drive models.
Engines in petrol are the 3.6 V6 and the
terrific little 2.4 4 cyl now in 07 a better diesel.
With the improvements made it now finally
brings this diesel up to the specs currently enjoyed by its rivals
like Nissan, Ford and Mazda.
Common Rail Diesel power wise expect 120
kw engine that produces (and this is important) 360 Nm of torque at
1800rmp (manual figures Auto 333Nm)
Compare Toyota Hilux at 126 KW/343 Nm
Nissan Navara 115 Kw/380Nm

Mazda BT 118Kw/347Nm.
Holden Rodeo towing capacity now is in the
4x4 3000 kg and in the 2x4 2500 kg.
Holden now brags that this diesel is much
quieter than the previous and more economical, the claims here from
Holden are 8.4 ltrs per 100 kms for the manual and 9 ltr per 100 for
the Automatic.
In the body department the headlights are
slightly higher the mudguards flares are smoother and in the
intercooler diesel a bonnet scoop.
Seats have been improved, the steering
wheel is different and dash layout has altered slightly.
Price 19,490 in the base petrol to 46,900
for the LT diesel 4WD.
Or in the true tradition for Holden await
the competition and see specials as the market will no doubt bring
on discount especially in its petrol models.
Note available in pick up cab chassis and
the dual cab.
Holden are indicating the next major
change in this model rodeo will be in about three years, so as a
leasing proposition not a bad one for the 3 year lease or just
under.
