Holden Colorado 2008

Bye bye rodeo, Hello Holden Colorado !!!

Well Holden now will loose the rodeo back to Isuzu (whom owns the Brand) and the Holden Rodeo will now become the Colorado. Not a typical Australian name for this brand Icon but Holden will try to obviously look further a field for sales of this Thai made 4x4 vehicle. What will happen to the rodeo, well get this Mitsubishi seem to have the nod from Isuzu for the rodeo. Mitsubishi rodeo ...well just doesn't seem to come together I am still coming to grips with the plant closures in Australia in March 2008. According to Holden the Colorado will be available in diesel and petrol with three cab styles, single, crew and space cab.

Reports from Holden state that this slightly altered rodeo will have a quiet cabin that the advertising gurus will aim towards the market.

Interior wise don't expect to much not much will change.

Personally the market will be confused and this brand icon will diminish into the underworlds until accepted by the market. Currently Toyota Hilux still holds the cards with sales. You don't see Toyota in Australia rebadging the vehicle and calling it the brontosaurus do you ,obvious egos in the Toyota marketing camp still know they are on the money for what the market wants.

The 2.4 is only available in 5 speed manual the other two are optional 5 speed manual and four speed automatic transmission.

The bottom line Isuzu calls the shots and the Holden people now will have to make a positive from a negative.
