The Ford Escape has been a reasonable seller and I can speak from first hand
experience of over 65000 kms that this vehicle is well worth a
consideration when looking at this smaller 4x4 market.
Ford for 2010 has also sharpened its pencils to compete in what is now a huge
market in Australia
In the previous model cruise control wasn't standard now it is, That
with some great trim change's and outside look make this a great package that
now has come into the 21st century.
My view based on the old model was one of respect, for 65000 km it was a work
vehicle with plenty of city travel, a family vehicle for two adults and
two littlies and thirdly a interstate travel vehicle loaded up with the family.
It passed all tests Good space , good performance and suitable features and
comfort.
Fuel consumption was average and it really needed just a smidge more go in
the engine but you cant have your cake and eat it too. As I mentioned in a
previous article on the 2006 XLS Escape
my disappointment came with the warranty and a bad battery. Forget
roadside assist because you don't get it on Ford imported product.
