2011 Kia Sorrento

Kia Sorrento, I eat my words. This 4x4 is knocking the socks of 4x4 enthusiasts everywhere. In the USA reports comparing this with the RAV 4 and Dodge journey are common. This is a new vehicle starting with the chassis. Gone is the old Korean truck chassis now its moved into the millennium. Style also is a winner. The US can be thanked for this as the Kia factory in the USA has been the main influence to get a Korean vehicle to take on the USA at their own game.

Kia in Australia as I have mentioned referring back to about 2002 were a rough product managed by a rough corporations. To deal with Kia in 2002 was like dealing with a used car salesman selling off his old stock. Kia was a cheap vehicle, budget and sparse and that's the market it filled.

As used vehicles they again fitted in where the buyers budget stopped. Now look out Kia sportage and now the Sorrento has hit the ground running and any pre judgement of product you had must now step aside or you could miss out on a good buy at a good price. Not too sure on future resale values though.

I find it amusing that in the Sorrento brochure Kia brag about telescopic steering column and chrome outer door handles. But still is value for the 4x4 and the 4x2 vehicle buyers.

Have a good look and a drive there is plenty of awards heading the way of the Kia Sorrento.
