2008 Suzuki Turbo Diesel Grand Vitara..DDIS

Well Australia Its here now and wagon buyers listen up...Suzuki has been in the forefront of reliable budget priced well finished motoring for a good part of 20 years.

From the Vitara of old to now never has one been produced that has not lived up to the marketing hype of the time. This Suzuki 2008 Grand Vitara turbo diesel will form in the same Suzuki mold.

It is a true 4x4, it is a true wagon , not over big manufactured still in Japan and the quality will exceed the purchase price.

get this, ABS with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist, ESP with traction control (electronic stability program) , Six count em six airbags, climate control air cond, power windows and mirrors.

So far so good. Here is a quick run down on the 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara Turbo Diesel 4x4.

Engine not a over powerful but strong in torque 1.9 litre Direct Diesel injection system (DDIS) Turbo charged.

95kw @3750 rpm torque 300 Nm @ 2000 rpm.

Economy 7.6 lts /100kms.

For turbo techs its a garret and its water cooled. The water pressure is regulated by variable fins actuated by ECM at a solenoid valve.

The Common rail fuel delivery is a Bosch CP3 Rail pressure up to 1600 bar.

For the greener of us all the emission is 195 grams CO2 per KM.

The Vitara diesel DDIS has all full time four wheel drive, ABS brakes, stability and traction control. When off road it is aided by its extra set of lower gear ratios (low range) when aided by the engine works very well for steep descents.. This is nothing new but you can control this from a switch on the consol also for motor home owner this vehicle has a neutral position for towing behind.

Remember the Vitara turbo diesel DDIS it is a diesel, noise levels are up and performance of the mark is a little slow but a terrific family wagon with some capabilities beyond that of a shopping trolley

This Suzuki Vitara turbo diesel Grand Vitara is a credit to its maker. It may not suit everyone but in its price range you would have to have a look. Australian price starts at $34990.
